If you read nothing else on this page, read these. Everything below is just us showing our working.
It remembers. It doesn't move money.
Sneat.app keeps the record — who owes who, what's due, what you own. It never moves money, holds it, or pays anyone. Settling up happens between you and the other person, however you already do it.
The standard version stays free.
Free, forever, for the standard version — that's a promise on the homepage and it's one here too. If a paid tier ever appears, you'll see the price before you're charged, and what you already have keeps working.
The people in it are real people.
Much of what you record is about other people. Treat their details with the care you'd want for your own — never use Sneat.app to harass, pressure or track anyone. A reminder is a nudge between people who know each other, not a debt-collection tool.
It can be wrong.
It's software, and software is sometimes down or mistaken. Keep your own record of anything that would genuinely hurt to lose, and don't lean on Sneat.app as the only proof of something that matters.
The exchange
What we ask of you, and what we owe you.
Terms are usually written for one side. Here are both.

- Keep your account yours — you're responsible for what happens under it.
- Record honestly, and only about people you have a reason to.
- Use it within the law, and leave the service standing for everyone else.
- Settle what you owe with the person you owe it to — not with us.
That's the whole of your side. None of it is unusual for an app you'd trust with this.

- The standard version, free, with no bait-and-switch later.
- A straight answer instead of a clause when you ask how something works.
- Fair notice — we'll flag a material change here, not swap the page quietly.
And we'll say so on this page when something is still a promise rather than a finished mechanism.

Straight answers
The questions you'd actually ask.
Including the ones a terms page usually answers by staying quiet.
- Can I delete my account and take my stuff?
- Yes, whenever. Export it, delete it, walk away — the same as the privacy page says. We are not going to hold your own records hostage to keep you.
- Can you change these terms whenever you like?
- We can change them as Sneat.app changes — but a material change gets flagged here, not slipped in. If you don't like where it goes, everything above about leaving with your data still holds.
- Is 'free forever' actually binding, or marketing?
- It's the deal, not decoration. The standard version stays free. If we ever add paid features, they're additions with a price you see first — not a toll gate lowered onto what you already use.
- Sneat.app tracks money — are you a bank?
- No. It records money — debts, balances, what you own — but never moves a penny of it. Not a bank, not a payment service, not a lender, and never a party to a debt between you and someone else. If that ever changes, this page changes before it does.
- If the app gets something wrong, whose fault is it?
- The record reflects what you and the people in your spaces put in — we don't verify it, and it isn't proof of anything on its own. We work hard to keep it accurate, but it's provided as-is, so for anything that really matters, keep your own copy too.
- What if you go under?
- Fair question, and we're too small to pretend it's unthinkable — the privacy page says the same. It's a large part of why export exists and why we're telling you here rather than burying it. The thing that makes Sneat.app worth using is the thing that would make losing it hurt; we know that, and we'd rather you knew we knew.
Your account, and the rest of the ecosystem
Your account comes from Sneat Co. — the same identity used across the Sneat ecosystem, so the same terms of good behaviour apply wherever it takes you. Sneat.app connects to sibling products across the wider Sneat platform, and your data only moves between them inside your own spaces, when you ask.

This is the plain-English version, written to be read rather than to be defensible. It describes Sneat.app as it works today, and it deliberately carries no jurisdiction, governing-law or liability-cap clauses — those need a real lawyer, not a landing page, and we'd rather say so than dress up boilerplate as protection.
